Picked the car up from BroSport. All set up and ready to go. What a difference a set of top mounts make! Its fu*king awesome to drive  steering is postive, more pointer and nibble. As they said can switch the tyre on.

Been out bed the brakes in and all laoded ready for oulton. So we will see how it gets on.

Cracking day at Oulton, weather has been spot on. Cars been great, no issues. Bilstens and top mounts has totally transformed the car from handling point of view. More stiffer , car stays a lot more planted round corners and under braking. The extra grip and feel get form top mounts is nothing i've felt before in previous two ( and in ford rs's ). Cars just totally more switched on, well tyres are as getting more contact on the tarmac. Everything moaned about on last one on handling side has gone, joy to drive FAST! Money well spent!!!

Only thing id benefit from now would be a proper diff and also maybe some better pads like pagids.

Highly recommend the NS2R's, offered plenty grip and never faded.

Couple pic's.....

Just got home, Ill post up some pics and info Tomoz but won the N/A time Attack group. Fastest in every session in my group and won the final in the wet by some near 3 seconds I believe.

Finally Had time to sit down and get a post written and sort of the pic's.

Turned up on Cadwell on friday afternoon ready for the evening TD. weather was great, track was offering loads of grip. Car performed well and i was happy i was finding my way round ok. Think best time did was a 1.52 on a hot lap so with this in mind i wanted break the 1.50 barrier.

Saturday morning come , 1st round of TA. Nervous and very excited !! The morning didn't start off great, failed scrutineering, no rear tow but luckily we sorted it! Weather was again nice and sunny, just not as warm. Went out for 1st session and track was no where near as grippy! track temp night before was 24 , now was 12!

anyway the 3 sessions leading to the final i manged to put in fastest laps of my group and dipped below 1.50 with a 1.49. Generally i was quite comfortable until the car who was 2nd decided to follow me round for a lap and his time instantly improved lol!

So final come and with times in mind i knew i was going have pull a low 1.49 out or try and dip into the 1.48's (cars easily capable of more just lack of experience of cadwell and not been lewis hamilton lol was never going happen ) .

Anyway, 20mins before final was about to start the heavens opened :worried: We left it long as possible but with no sign of letting up we swapped tyres over and put the road tyres back on, wise move ! we lose 6 mins of session as we had follow course car to try and clear track and form a line to drive too, sadly i wasnt aware we would loose 6 mins and nearly didnt put a hot lap in, everyone bombed off so they must of know. I made myself some room and put in a hottish lap gearing up for a proper hot lap, come round and flag was out to end the session, was gutted. On returning to pits, i was greeted by a very happy mother saying they called Atkins but there was another Atkins in my group and i thought he'd done it as i didnt feel i had been quick in my lap. Turned out i had done it, i won the final and won by over 2.5ish seconds to guy in in 2nd place!!! More gutted didn't get a proper lap in as knew could gone quicker + clios are great in the wet!!!

Its made all the hard work and stress of getting the car ready well worth it and cant wait get stuck in at next round!

Yeh, wasn't it just! Luckily dad picked tow strap up just in case needed tow car out of cadwell.

Cheers , sorry missed you

Top result on the win mate

How did the event run, in terms of sessions/format and other cars etc? Is it like a track day where you rock up in the morning, sign-on and then evertyhing is explained as you go? Also with all the other cars from higher classes on at the same time, is it pretty mental or can you string together plenty of fast laps without too much bother?

I really want to do the Brands event as a OHW so if I start thinking about it now shouldn't be an issue. Also have you got a pic of your rear tow setup? I don't want to drill my body work!

Cheers
