Clio 197 Crankshaft - where to buy?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a crankshaft, since mine may not be salvageable (more details in http://www.clio197.net/forum/showthread.php?50781)
I've looked quite a bit on the forum and on the internet and couldn't find new cranks for sale anywhere.

Are there any after market cranks? Like the R3?

Also, do any of the older RS versions (172 and 182) fit? Are they strong enough, given the power difference?

R3 crank won't work because it's 90mm stroke. If you went that route you'd need new forged 150mm rods (standard are 144mm) and to make it 2.0ltr again you need to bore to 84mm so new pistons too! It's a full on build and no point unless you're planning 8500rpm etc.

1x2 crank would work but they are heavier and ****tier than a mk3 crank so don't use them.

Ps: I'll post the rods tomorrow, got the delivery company to send me the correct labels now

Thanks for the info Rich,
I'm looking for all the options I have, since a used and decent 197/200 crank seems like impossible to find.
