Cleaning the interior of 197 other day, looking at my pedals, could do with sprucing up, anyone ever cleaned them properly? if so with what products, good results?

Keep meaning to try but can imagine a small brush and some mildly soapy water, then a good dry.

Wouldnt like to treat them with anything in case of making them slippy.

I used Autoglym Metal Polish on mine with some fine wire wall.

Or you could use a dremel with an attachment and they will come out supper shiny then.

Autosol on wire wool should work a treat, need to get around to doing mine too

Any metal polish will be fine. Autosol is quite abrasive, so start off with something like Megs NXT, which you can get from Halfords.

Cillit bang, cheap and effective. Just put a bin bag on the mat incase any of it drips onto the carpet/mat, as it's a bleach like product it may stain otherwise. Worked a treat for me though, look brand new.
