Check emissions when trumpet removed

Alright removed trumpet and valve switch last night and check emissions light has came on, will this remove eventually or should I put correct resistance across the plug ? What have people done? Cheers

Leave trumpet and valve in, just disconnect vacuum pipe to it, has its the vacuum that used to open and close the flap via the solenoid. Thats all ive done. Notice better power delivery below 4k rpm and the flat spot is alot better.

I have a V6 airbox and this vacuum pipe is still connected to the throttle body...thinking of blocking the vacuum pipe. Should it make any difference?

Now it's still connected to the solenoid.

Panther I can't find the answer but I'm guna check anyway with resistor so I take it when removing the coil the Ecu knows and alters itself?

It may alter, but i doubt it, probably just a warning. Try using a multimeter to measure the resistance of the coil, then get the appropriate resistor to suit

interesting so you,ve removed the pipe from the trumpet valve so theres no feed to it then??

No ive got a cold air feed to the valve and recently just disconnected the small vacuum pipe to the solenoid and but a bolt in the vacuum pipe, kept the solenoid plug in. So the solenoid working but due to no vacuum isnt operating the valve

Pics?:001_rolleyes:

Yea that's all I was guna do Ryan but probs easier just leaving the coil in tbh doesn't take much room as it is so...

Same as my set up.

Step 1: OEM setup > unplug vacuum pipe from trumpet.
Step 2: Plug vacuum pipe with a small bolt.
Step 3: Run a cold feed from lower grill upto trumpet.
