Changing a gear knob on a 2004 renault clio 1.5 dci

Hello guys, as yall know renault has that ring under the knob with which one u go into reverse. Can i change my gear knob with this one without breaking anything, i wanna change my gearknob soo bad cuz this one is just old. If i can, can yall explain as much as possible how. Thanks
