Centre cap removal

Stupid question inbound!

Can you remove the centre caps without taking off the entire wheel?

Thanks

Not really tbh. Don't try to jam something between the cap and the wheel as you'll scratch the wheel!
Probably best to just remove the wheel to be on the safe side!

If you are taking it off to paint then as above you can use a knife or something similar, if you don't want it damaged take the wheel off, its only 5 bolts

If you not keeping the old ones why not smash a screwdriver through the front and yank it out. That way wheel don’t get damaged:laughing:

I did the stanley knife method worked a treat swapped my new caps in about 10 minutes @Beany im useless at stuff like this im amazed i didnt burn my garage down while I did this, but it went without issue think i used electrical masking tape as its a tad thicker.

Skip to about 25 seconds in...

If it's a smoke flume coming from South Yorkshire then I will be very worried indeed my friend!

What can go wrong - it's a Yorkshireman using a sharp object in anger on something made from steel and plastic (mostly plastic, it is a Renault) that's filled with a highly flammable liquid.... You'll be golden, Beany
