Central locking buttons not locking/unlocking on hatch

Had a cab run into the back of my Clio and since getting the car back from the repairers the central locking buttons aren't working on the rear hatch to lock/unlock the car.

However if I unlock the car using either the fob or the front doors, you can open the hatch with the button on the hatch itself. The repairer has replaced the lock button that sits within the Renault diamond but its still not working.

I had them disconnect/reconnect the battery this morning to see if that made any difference but no.

At this point its going to Renault for them to look at, I was just wondering if anyone had ever had similar issues on here.

Think I've sorted it, going by the workshop manual theres an aerial for the rear tailgate that you can access by taking the bumper off. If I rest my key fob on either of the front doorhandles the tailgate locks and unlocks as it should.
