Center Box Replacement with straight pipe - Birmingham Area - **Vid!!!**

Can anyone recommend an exhaust specialist to replace the centre box with a length of mild steel in the Birmingham (Sheldon/Solihull) area?

I had a quote from Torqueflow, but they want £40, which i think is a tad on the dear side for 10 minutes work.

Looking to get it done this Saturday. So please recommend some places.

More than it has already? Apparently its what the cup racers run, standard system with the centre box replaced with a straight through pipe.

Dotty had this done on his 197 and it sounded awsome! I would think of having it done, but I want to keep the warrenty and I'm a chicken too! Lol! I don't think £40 sounds too dear either, I'm assuming they'll supply and fit the the straight piece? Will they bolt it on or weld it?

Supply and fit. I dont think it would affect anything on the warranty other than the exhaust itself. No different from fitting a custom exhaust.

Im assuming they would use mikalor clamps or similar.

Oh well, ive just booked it in. Having it done at 1pm on Saturday. For the sake of trying to save £10 by getting it done elsewhere.

Cup racers have a completely different system from manifold - back compared to standard...

The last time I priced it up it came in at around £900 from R-Sport, they do a ''quiet'' version too.

Fair enough. It was Fred @ BTM Performance that told me otherwise.

Mike, know you have been interested in this too, so will let you know what I think. Something is needed to make the Clio a bit more audible.

He said he could do the exhaust, but that it would be cheaper just to get an exhaust place to do it.

Shall be going back to BTM in the future. Thoroughly nice guy.

Not that it really matters, but the app I used was DB Meter Pro.

Cage is getting re-fitted today for the season's fun. Will get pics for you later.

Filter is easy with a removal tool, he said it's much easier than the megane which has air con pipes in the way.
