Catback Exhaust System opinions?

Not sure what mine is but sounds just like Cossers, lovely sound but does get a little frustrating at low speed (especially if you are in the back seats LOL), crackles, pops, bangs etc and at 70 mph would nearly drive you insane........

Literally drove past you today again on the same road and had the window down.

You were going slow but it left a lovely rumble behind it, was actually going to message you and see if you knew what system you have.

Think I've decided to go for a scorpion but now I don't know if I need resonated or not.

Will resonated be too quiet and a waste of money?
Will non-resonated be too loud?

Scared of getting the wrong one and regretting it either way [emoji22]

Worst thing is I'm ready to buy now and busting too! [emoji23]

Standard exhaust and you can hear the engine more than exhaust... it’s very disappointing

If ya get chance poke your head underneath the rear of the car.. usually there’s a brand stamp on the silencers (there is with the scorpion system) however diffuser may cover it up

diffuser off job or you can find out if you look through your rear wheels

Definately diffuser is in the way. I’ll have a nosey when it’s dry [emoji1303]

Thread settled for me folks......

Got the Scorpion Non-Resonated cat back installed today and am over the moon with it so far.

Makes a really deep grunting noise and isn't overly loud. Plenty of pops and bangs and is exactly what I was after. So glad with my decision, thanks everyone for the assistance [emoji16]

Hadn't looked at the exhaust system before and didn't realise you had to actually cut the standard pipe 70mm from the lambda sensor. Just a note in case anyone gets one thinking it's a straight swap like it did [emoji23]

With scorpion main catalytic is removed? How about mot check with emissions.
What do you think about power cure with new exhaust, any flat spot?

Mine has a non res, decat and full induction kit and passed the mot with no probs last December

Ditto.. if there’s one cat still there it’ll pass an mot on emissions. Unsure on new mot rules coming into effect soon

It's been proven the pre-cat in the manifold is fine for keeping emissions under control at MOT time. The main focus will be on diesel particulate filters, so you should be fine
