Only car checker app that I can find you have to pay for each reg check.
Can you point me in the right direction please.

As said, HN registered cars are Portsmouth / Southampton area, where mine came from. Renault UK is also based in the HN postcode area, and tend to register a lot of cars themselves. It could have been a press car, a general runabout or something like that.
