Car squirming under acceleration

Hi,

I have just purchased an R27 F1 edition, 2007 17.5K on the clock. After reading loads of reviews claiming torque steer is non-existent with these cars, when I accelerate in 1st or 2nd gear the steering squirms violently left to right. Is this normal due to the fwd nature? The wheel itself is out of alignment by about 10deg, booked into dealers next week so hoping by fixing the alignment/tracking this may fix this issue.

not filling me with much confidence to drive the car quick off the line!

Any thoughts??

Cheers

They're not really meant for being driven ''quick off the line'', the truth is although they're quick they're no drag-racer.

The wheel will tug a little bit, but it certainly shouldn't be ''violent'' by any stretch of the imagination.

Get some photos up anyway and welcome!!!

it will squirm due to available grip from the tyres and the traction control etc

Check for Lorry tramlines on the road mine does this off one roundabout in particular coz of the depressions on the road

thanks for the reply guys, think im just being a bit paranoid! will keep an eye on it incase it gets worse!

Loving the car so far, engine just fizzes away asking for more!
