Tbh if theres any play in the waterpump pulley its usually worth replacing but tbh if its driven off the cambelt i'd do it as a matter of caution because if it let go an the belt slipped or lost tension there would be valve piston contact which is gonna cost £££££.

They say change the water pump as untensioning the belt disturbs the bearing in the pump causing it to fail later on.
