C2 keeps jerking?

Hi guys,

My missus has a 59 plate C2 1.4 HDI with about 34k on the clock.
for the last couple of months every so often it has been jerking slightly when accelerating hard of soft. It's done it when I have driven it too and feels like a momentary loss of power? There are no lights coming on on the dash. It is due a service in about 2k miles.

Anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

DPF related maybe? does it get driven any distance or is it more of a town car?

It's on motorway most of the time 60 mile rounds trip. The start through town then on the motorway.

Hmm maybe not DPF then, that should be more than sufficient for it to be kept in tip top condition.

Fuel filter getting old/clogged maybe. I have even had an instance of water in the diesel (from a local Shell garage) that caused me some similar issues in my old 307 HDI. Drained the filter housing and found about a cup full of water in there. Was fine after that!

That would make sense, it does feel like there is just a cut of fuel so will take a look. Cheers Chris
