Buying advice 197/200 please

Hi im relatively new to this forum and would appreciate some help..

I after a high spec model, preferably in white, with a max budget of 9k.

But im unsure on what to do about mileage:

Go for one with low miles, below 30,000 but pay more (loose more) and less spec -

or

higher milage, so less £s and hopefully more spec for money?

Any issues with cars above 50k miles to watch out for? understand the cam belt needs doing around that sort of mileage or 5 years? which is most cars in my price range)

Just any general things to watch out for when buying aswell please!

Thanks in advance

... oh and go and see the 'best clio 197 for sale', the one you commented on in the other thread :tongueout:

£9k should get a nice spec lowish mileage car
I recently bought a 59 plate 200 with cup pack, sat-nav and 26k for £9.5k from a dealer - could have got it for less if i went with cash but got £800 more for my p/x than any other dealer offered (crappy corsa vxr).

sounds like a good deal! I'll aim for something around that now.

Anyone know anything about higher mileage 197s/200s? reliabilty ect..
