Big spec 200 Cup *FOR SALE*

Realistically where do I stand legally? But I know for a fact he mapped a SC Clio yesterday with det cans on

It's proving it that'll be the tough part (I obviously believe you). A few years ago I had a non-car related dispute with a company and got a solicitor to write a letter threatening legal action. The letter only cost me £30 so might be worth a try.

Nope wont reply to my emails or voicemails which is making me fizz even more and it's not the first time it's happened!
Hopefully he gets back to you. I had to wait quite a while to get a reply to my email to him with just an enquiry. Although not reply ing to voicemails…

Ah ok, when you do rebuild it I would definitely consider an aftermarket ECU to have some safety for knock etc, as you don't want lightning striking twice!
Yes I'm going for the plug and play ECU Master next time it's just a nightmare :-(

Ok so a little progress at last . . . pulled the trigger on the ecu master black with wideband, oil + fuel pressure sensors and a set of 980cc Bosch injectors, these have the longer tip like the factory style ones.
With a bit of chopping of the original ecu bracket to fit the plugs behind it fits perfectly and looks like it grew there just need to wrap the rest of the loom.
Fitted the oil cooler next to the supercharger oil cooler and tapped the stat housing for the oil pressure sensor.
The new pistons and the rest of the parts are due today so fingers crossed she'll be a runner by the end of the week!

Well nothing's ever straight forward :disappointed: after Id cleared the ally from the bore on no.4 the cylinder was ever so slightly damaged unfortunately so I've dropped my spare block off tobe bored and then will crack on this week. With the head being off I think I'll just take it out from the top to save taking the subframe/box out. May regret it when refitting

It’s not going to run well on 3 pistons :grinning:

Well it's been a while !! . . . with the head and sump already off the block came out of the top with loads of room no problem. I'll just post a few pics as most are the same as the build on the last page :grinning::flushed: Everything measured and gapped etc etc. 1mm head gasket this time so after a nip off the block and head the cr came out at 10-1.
Opted for some Supertech valves and Cat cams springs this time, after doing all this twice I'd kick myself if I totalled it again due to a spring or valve failure!
Trying to utilise the new ecu I've gone for a wideband Bosch knock sensor. Pretty common on most modern stuff now. Just chopped the top off the original one, faced it off on the lathe, tapped it to m8 and fitted it in the original position.
The only minor issue was with the new injectors, something and nothing but even tho they're supposed to be the same length I wasn't quite happy with the seal on the factory fuel rail so took about 4-5mm off the mounts.
. . . . Would never of thought in a million years because they just don't fail but the oil pump chain guide was all split and had already scrapped the cover off the old engine! Was the last piece to the puzzle and the chain kit was out of stock everywhere so ended up making one out of an old block of nylon!!

Fired it up on the Siemens injectors to run it up then changed the oil, fitted the Bosch 980s and adjusted the fuelling to suit. The emu software is very easy to work with!
After seeing Pita’s project thread on here I had to pinch his idea with the vag coils. Made a little adaptor loom up to the ecu andan extra relay to power them in the fuse box so fully sequential now (after him kindly sharing his settings) ☺ Left the original wiring intact incase anything ever happens.
Got some miles in with the Millers running in oil and changed to the 10/50s and went to Rs tuning . . . where I should of gone originally if I hadn't of been so impatient. Pauls a cracking chap. The first thing they did was bolt a stand alone knock sensor up!! How it should be done . . .
Took a little adaptor as well for the boost ref to save them messing!
Made 365 @1.1 bar and pulls really well 5ED42D2A-6B52-4D1A-9118-F51D033B734F.jpeg0C81D716-2E10-41D6-AB48-03E679EB5921.jpeg6EFDA68B-91AD-434E-8D2B-F5BAEBEB8511.jpeg86CF927E-8481-43C8-8F1F-AC5A06042468.jpegA6C5CB5E-8808-430D-8DF1-E80145E2CBAD.jpeg

Amazing work. Must be so fun to drive!

That power curve isn’t a curve at all it’s a straight line to the top right lol

thanks buddy, tbh on the road it’s a nightmare it’s very bumpy where I am but looking forward to oulton next weekend! But it’s pretty lively yeah!!

Yeah I can imagine on the road you have to have your whits about you the whole time.

Got to be a weapon on track though.

Not updated the thread for a while since the last outing at Oulton, was an amazing day and ended up with a 2 min ish pb. Was the only clear run of the day before the gearbox gave up again. Managed to finish the day (and the box) just about finding 4th and 5th and having to hold it in gear. (Was determined to get the most out of the day)!

The box was in pretty bad shape as I expected then struggled for weeks to get the correct parts, so in a rush have ended up with the same 5th but a very short 6th which obviously isn't used on track anyway.
