197: Big crack pulling away..

This morning when pulling off i got a big cracking noise, which i think was possibly the rear brake pads stuck to the discs after all the rain/lots of hard driving yesterday

Could it be anything else? Anyone have the same thing happen?

I suspect it is the rear pads, its made me jump before now too.

Thats happened to me before when i left the car for two weeks while offshore and put the handbrake on without thinking

Yeah it is the rear pads. Get used to it after it has rained/been washed.

One thing you can do to help is strip and clean the discs and pads...

They all do it sometimes, nothing to worry about

Mine do it every now and again especially when wet. Try pumping the brakes before setting off to release the pads.

Good idea, was gonna copper grease everything soon anyway as i've heard the stories about seized pads/pins etc...

Yup best thing to do, if you keep up to it then it will help stop them sticking in the future.
