Best roof rack?

What's the best roof rack that won't take the paint off?

I've had a gander through the search but most recommend thule and I've heard that even they scratch the paint off.

Anyone got any experience with the:
Touring line bars Part no 77 11 221 420 ?

Where have you heard that Thule take the paint off? I've got thule bars for my car and they're fine. Had then on my mk5 golf before and they were fine then when all 4 feet sat against the roof

The Thule system is the best - bolts into fixing points on the car. Not that any Thule system I have used has ever taken the paint off on my cars either

The renault ones fit really good, can find them second hand on ebay now cheap

Any 2 door renault ones will fit our cars (for a Mk3) and they do two types, alloy bars and steel bars

Do you have any links to the alloy ones by any chance? Not sure what I search Want to get the best quality and lightest possible.
