Beanys RB 200 cup

Donington Park - 6-11-25

It lasted till 10.30am.

Gearbox shat itself, hopefully just the slave cylinder that’s gone, a nice puddle of gearbox oil was under the car which looked fresh considering it’s done 2 trackdays before going pop!

Ahh well, was nice to meet new and old faces alike and I’ve got some footage of the gearbox decided it didn’t want to change gear

GEARBOX UPDATE!

With an impending track day round the corner (Tuesday) at Cadwell Park with RMA and a broken car still a hero appeared from the midst in the form of @EthanMenace who offered to help get it fixed.

I had already ordered the gearbox and slave which was fortunate as a lot of places were out of stock or crazy expensive, After a hiccup with Opie oils and getting fluids ordered, I hired a trailer (luckily with a winch) and got the car loaded up. Was a good test for the tow strap!

Next stop Down South, on Friday night I drove part way by the services at Stansted then carried on the journey in the morning.

The gearbox removal wasn’t exactly plain sailing, stuck driveshaft and sheared bolt with Ethan’s perseverance, hard work paid off.

upon removal of the clutch it looked brand new still (to which is was pretty much) the slave on the other hand was a chewed up mess.
Brake fluid and gearbox oil all came out looking clear.

Putting everything back together seemed to go smoothly, after topping up fluids and a test everything seemed to be working normally so everything got put back to normal and put back on the trailer this time under its own power..

Can’t thank Ethan enough for his help / doing all the lifting.

Steady 3hr drive back was broken by a service stop as 360miles was a stretch too far on one tank and gave me an excuse to have some food and a brew!

Cars finally back home and I’ve left it on the trailer till Tuesday and afew bits to pack for then!

Some pics to follow
