Beanys RB 200 cup

Donington Park 9.11.24

Had a great day out, it was uneventful but sometimes those are the best. Afew red flags throughout the day but nothing causing a major delay, just people getting fished out the kitty litter.
The usual Donington pit release fiasco is still a problem, you'd think most people don’t have mirrors, the arrogance and stupidity of people is astounding.

Car ran really well and enjoyed being behind the wheel, just a shame the Clio lacks power as a lot of the hard work in the corners evaporates going up the hill after the old hair pin and subsequent straights.

I think that’s it for track days this year, no annual leave left and Xmas coming up I can’t see any chance sadly.

Couldn’t find my GoPro sadly however @Big Ben took some footage which I’ll let him share here… afew photos I’ll post later and see what the msv photos are like

Top day out! The Clio was on rails through craners , I was out the back with the washing:thumb:

Look forward to the next one

Kind of depressing this hasn’t been updated since May. I’ve been on the forum lurking however nothing has changed with the car, searching for a bonnet lowkey but other than that nothing :worried:

There is a cheery upside to this depressing post that I’ve booked a track day at Donington with MSV and my faithful companion @Big Ben on the 9th Nov if anyone else fancies it… trying to persuade a work colleague to take his car.
There's a carbon bonnet on facey b if you want to be a bit of a tart.

Just read this from start to finish, excellent read, felt as if the car went from a road car with a couple of mods to a cup racer almost in one post - love it.

I take it you had the turret tops drilled out to adjust the coil overs when the cage etc went in? Do you happen to know how large the hole is now? No problems with it cracking etc or has it been strengthened?

If you’ve read it all then I can only apologise as I’ve prob bored you to death!

Yes as it’s a late model with the smaller top mounts they had to be drilled out. Unsure on size but last checked they weren’t strengthened nor any cracks in the shell.

Haven’t bored me at all! Been away for the week and was good reading at the bar, done a few threads

Glad to hear that, will be doing mine soon as part of the winter work.
