Beanys RB 200 cup

Post Donington Park update:

Another no shock surprise that afew of us ventured out to my neck of the woods Donington Park yesterday.
Morning session went well a lot faster cornering than Snetterton and that threw me off / not having enough confidence to push the car and almost not regretting going but it just wasn’t gelling. After a few red flags lunch time was soon upon us and I had booked a slot with an instructor straight after.
I cannot thank Dave enough for his instructions and guidance around the track especially going round Craner Curves he helped me push the car and myself. After that I thoroughly enjoyed going out and even passing afew cars.
Took @Big Ben round later on in the afternoon to remind him of n/a limiter bashing
Below is the only photo of the car I took after i changed the wheels back to black. I’ll hioefullt upload some more once the official ones come out

Glad you had fun in the end. I was fortunate enough to get instruction early in the day when I went there. Cracking track, my favourite in the UK so far. I like the changes in elevation & mix of fast & slow bends. I don't know if you were using the Melbourne loop but I enjoyed that hairpin.

We did the national circuit so didn’t have the Melbourne Hairpin as apparently is not popular!

Nice one mate, I'm really glad you enjoyed it yesterday. Confidence must have had a real boost after the tuition and the 'flying' laps after! Good on you dude!

Maybe I have strange tastes then! Actually it's more that I feel short changed if I don't do the full circuit. Also have memories of watching an up and coming driver called Rubens Barrichello racing the full circuit in F3000 years ago and thinking "He's pretty good, I'll probably be watching him in F1 sometime".

This the only one of your car I got Chris. Didn’t take many admittedly.

Totally get where you’re coming from regarding pre tuition.
Was frantic through craner curves to begin with lol. Dave was a great help

Nice to meet you, had a chat with you and Ben at lunchtime.
The Alien green conversion dropped a valve apparently.

Somethings have happened to the car and I’ve not updated the thread so here goes...

Couple of weeks ago I was in a hunt for some recaro’s a couple of eBay bids didn’t go my way and all was quiet until a fellow member messaged me and offered a swap which was a fair deal.. not being the most handy with tools I managed to remove my seats courtesy of the “how too guide” on here. Once I’d mastered that it was simple enough role reversal to installing them hey presto two new fitted seats  took the car to my local RS specialist where I had the air bag warning light coded out. Jobs a good in!

Sadly after that i got into some more slight modding and afew of those will praise me other will lambast me! Alas I have turned to the dark side (literally) and joined :blackdiamond:
Well team carbon fibre..

Given the car a much needed clean also (hosepipe present in the pics) so I think that brings me up to date!

Sit back and wait for the 3rd track day this year!! Roll on Snetterton
