Update.
Well had the car now 3 weeks.
First up for peace of mind had the cambelt and water pump changed. Did a deal with the garage where I bought it from as part of the sale and they went halves with me on cost at a local specialist.
Starting to get used to driving the car now. Loving the handling and can't wait to start the modifications.
One thing I have noticed is the gear change from 2nd to 3rd.
The gearbox is faultless in normal driving even when cold. Up and down the box is also spot on.
Occasionally quick shifting at high revs 2nd to 3rd seems notchy as it goes into the gate.
Slow the change down slightly and again it's perfect.
Is it me just getting used to the box or is it the first signs of the dreaded syncro problem?
