Any lights/problems with removing rear seatbelts?

try having a look at this... i know it's generally a good idea to disconnect the car battery and wait 20 mins for the residual charge to decay before you start fiddling with airbags/seat belt sensors, that way you're less likely to trigger a warning light.

the other thing you might be able to do is if you have a multimeter like this:

you could possibly try measuring the resistance of the bit you're taking out (while it's not connected to the rest of the circuit (Ω symbol on a meter)
though i can't guarantee this approach as some components change resistance in relation to the voltage they are working at (which itself is programmed to the ECU)
