if its heat issue then they should all have it as its good to reflect the heat back t the engine.

Maybe it is a heat issue but they found out later that is not that necessary and they removed it in the later models..

It is for soundproofing...

If it were for heat they would all have it. The cups dont have it all the way from 2007/8 when they were introduced.
