You kind of hope that Renault Sport removed it for the Cups to give that full-on, stripped-out look... Makes sense with the other 'basics' that the Cup came with. Or is that assuming too much :smiley:
It'll be nothing to do with saving weight. Probably more like Renault saving money.

if its heat issue then they should all have it as its good to reflect the heat back t the engine.

so much so that original Maclaren F1 was gold plated on the inside.

Maybe it is a heat issue but they found out later that is not that necessary and they removed it in the later models..
