Was most probably something like CL10 OOM, like he said he was on the other side of the road. Normally plate cloning is done with a car the same colour. Bit obviouse if thu get caught speeding and the car is green!

So badly want an R27 plate

I think the reason there aren't any R27 plates is because in the old prefix number plates, only numbers 19 and below were sold separately, and so R20 upwards (with a few exceptions) will have been issued as normal plates which aren't allowed to be sold on. This could be ******** but it's the conclusion I have come to.
