Akrapovic at K-Tec !

They think it becasue it is, I think you need to live with a 30k VAG before making a decision. the quality difference is huge, i do however toatally agree on the fun part. :thumbsup:
As for the exhasut im guessing Akraprovic isnt a name youve heard of or you wouldnt be comparing them to supersprint lol!
Like i said earlier i look forward to seeing what K-tec think about it when they install one. They sell it when they already sell 2 other brands which means they must feel its a viable product.

i have milltek on my 200 and ist crap cause it hit my diffusor and knonking on the headshield.

I love forums. Have just bolted a clio together, trust me its was like a lego set compared to my BMW HUGE DIFFERENCE....Renny is still my favourite car I've owned for a long time cause its cheap, got real character and proper fun. Exhaust looks wicked and quality looks superb. My very humble opinion, exhaust are ultimately about noise. Only real gains (that you would notice) is when complimented with other serious mods. Small brake horse power gains are for manufacturers to justify being able to take your money off you. I had a discussion with a (not naming any names) specialist. They'll tell you anything to take your money off you and for your card details. Exhausts...5-10BHP with a map LOOOL.
Before we jump up and down, lets have at least 10 units fitted to cars and after a year have a discussion. One thing thats often forgotten is our climate does strange things to what are known outside of uk as quality products. How many places can you get rain, sun and snow in the same day in September!!!!!
Strange analogy but my lad wants the new Nike 90's footie boots. He's the same size shoe as Wayne Rooney but the execution of kicking a ball will be very different. The TRUE gains are the person sitting in the Recaro's.

Will there be a difference in sound between Evo-System & Slip-on-System or only the power difference?
slip on system is no louder than standard, but it is a deeper note.
the evo system is 1-2 db louder than standard, and again a deeper note.

Interesting, I dont have this problem, do you have a 197 pipe or 200? My Milltek has done over 8,000 miles, I had the first 200 development pipe and no problems whatsoever. still loving the sound and the quality is second to none.
I have heard that some people were shoehorning the 197 Milltek into the 200 and cutting the ends off, Milltek have redesigned the back boxes to fit in with the new diffusser as well as shortening the tail pipes.
The Akropovic system looks nice and if I didnt want a set of V3 coilovers I'd prob get one if I was in the market for a zorst
It's a 200 pipe, Milltek will send a new that should fit perfectly but a will sell it and buy that Slip-on Akrapovic System!

The supersprint is an awesome system 15-16bhp & 22Nm extra in the mid-range and £150 cheaper than the akra, all depends what you want really..
I am impatient to see real data on the dyno exhaust.
For the time being in France the only exhaust that gives good results in terms of performance, pleasure for the ears and reliability are among those Orbisoud / Orbisound (same company) and Inoxline.
And the two announced at the most between 2 and 4 HP for the RS 200.
the two manufacturers recommend keeping the first and second catalyst if you want the torque.
And removing the second catalyst if you want a little more PMax.

Ill be interested to hear what this sounds like in real life. Friends of mine have had these system on there bikes and say they are the nuts. If I had the cash I would go for the Akrapovic.
I can't see why people are so bothered about the price and bang on about owning 30k german soulless boxes? Yes the exhaust is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The clio is a really great car and i can understand bolting this on, even if the car is worth 16k?
As for build quality i would say the Renault is great. I have a had a skoda vrs, build quality, Crap! Both my Dad and my mate have and or do own golf mk 6's. Both say the build quality is shocking and think the clio is better! One of these is an ed30 and the other my dads, got so fed up with 'german quality' sold it! My mate now is looking at chopping his ed in for a 200. Ok to be fair my dad bought an A3, but do i think its worth 15k more than my clio... No?! Some materials are better but apart from that, its dull and built pretty much the same?
I guess what im saying is you get what you pay for...
