Airbag light after steering wheel swop

Changed my melted steering wheel for new one today with
Out to much trouble managing to get the airbag unhooked in few
minutes thanks to all write ups I read on here .

Problem started as I pull wheel of the spline and the air bag ring behind
Wheel comes off as well!!! So I got this ring with all like wire ribbon
Hanging off . So wrap it back round ring carefully as u like and click it
Back where it came from thinking I've sorted it . Put new steering wheel on
Connect up airbag and put that back no problem.

Now I got air bag warning Light and spanner light on !!!!

Anyone know the score with these airbag rings behind
the steering wheel ?

Can they be fixed of replaced ?

its the air bag "clockspring" thats faulty - you can replace them

Just go to a garage and get it turned off mate I had the same problem when changing my seats

you cant if its the steering wheel air bag...

thanks for reply foxspeed...got a 200 airbag squib organised form place i got replacement steering wheel.

Just hope its not a nightmare to fit !!!
