Air con recharged.....Still not working.

right ive been to quick fit for a regass and still doesnt work...
so im wanting to kno what to do next to get it to work cheap way as possible. - reno.

You might have a leak on the system. You need to see an air con specialist and get them to add a dye. That way they can see where the leak is coming from and repair it. I have a split seal on my 197 that was leaking and causing it to not work.

Put mine in for warranty fix, they said the aircon had a defect (a tiny hole). Hopefully it will work again when i get it next week... knowing my luck though that will be the end of summer!

When pressure drops the ECU disconnects the AC pump. The ECU will need to be reset by Renault.

mine lsot pressure and after a proper air-con service worked fine without any ecu reset

no working aircon could be a few things - there is a known fault with the wiring to the compressor - you need to see if there is a power feed when its switched on

there is also on the end of the condensor a low pressure sensor

when they gassed it what did they put in gas wise - was a leak detector dye added?

When I first got mine the charge was low, regassed and it was fine. Early this summer it wasn't working again so we regassed it but it still didn't work, no power to compressor. The explanation I was given is that if the charge gets below a certain level then the ECU isolates it. Interestingly the charge wasn't actually that low, but was outside the tolerances, just.

However resetting the ECU only worked for a week or so and the car had to go back in to have some wiring to the compressor replaced.
