A positive dealer experience!

I had booked my 197 in for diagnostics for the Xenon lights not leveling... Quoted £47 to diagnose.

I had looked at both, Front & rear sensors myself and as they both looked fine i.e. no broken arms... I needed a proper diagnosis b4 I bought the wrong one. I can fit it myself.

After 1/2 an hr a bloke came back & said that I needed a new Light sensor...

A light sensor? i.e the one that turns the lights on? I said that "are you sure it is the light sensor & not the leveling sensor? It is due for its MOT next week". (obviously it will fail if pointing wrong)

He did look really put out & said 'it has been diagnosed!'... 3 mins later he comes back & says that it is the Rear level sensor that needs replacing.

Anyway after being quoted £47 for diagnosis & £87 for the part I recon £132 Fitted saved me £2 & clambering round under the car was money wel spent!

I also booked it in for its MOT there next week... so if the prob has not been fixed (not driven @ night yet)... it can be no one elses fault!

Lookers @ Chelmsford... Personaly... I found them professional, organised & helpful... Oh & reasonably priced!

my dealer is always great, they are an RS Specialist though and the guy on the desk is the Customer Service manager/RS Specialist so that probably helps

This doesn't sound very positive.

Arsey mechanic, expensive, and you're unsure whether its been fixed or not?!?

Lookers @ chelmsford I vouch for them
I brought my Clio 200 from them, I ordered the exact spec I wanted, at a way cheaper price than other Renault dealers.
