197: 30k Service

Within the next couple of months I'll be having the 3 year inspection job done on my cup.

Can anyone shed any light on approx how much I should be paying and what the service involves i.e. should I buy oil and / or new plugs in advance to keep costs down?

Thanks in advance.

I paid £220, thats was for oil, oil filter, sump washer, air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid and spark plugs, and that was them getting the parts, I'm sure if you got parts off twingo, it would be cheaper.

Its the normal stuff + spark plugs. Get the spark plugs from opie oils, he charges about £35 but renault will charge you about £90

Do you mean 36k?

Oil & filter
Spark plugs
Cabin filter

Assume the car is three years old and that the air filter is either a lifetime one or was changed at 24k / 2 yrs.

Brake fluid and coolant are both due at 4 years, so again assuming the car is only 3 years old, these should not yet be required.

worth noting that any garage that gives a proper waranty will not fit parts you supply. Specialists are priced very competatively, so just shop around a little

with regard to the air filter change every 24k, thats a bad idea IMO, it's a few pounds, so it gets changed EVERY service

Thanks guys.

Sorry, I should of said 3 year service as it's 3 years or 36k, whichever comes first.

So you got a full oil change included?

Sounds a fair price, where did you get that done?
