Hi all, some of you may remember my username from last year, when I owned a Clio 200 Cup.
It had a KTR intake and KTR exhaust, and I put some polybushed engine mounts on it.
I sold this in May 2017 and since then have had an Edition 30, running 340 HP, with LSD etc, a e90 BMW 330d MSport, Mini Cooper S to JCW spec and then a Mazda Mx5 NC, all while rebuilding my mk2 golf GTI 16v.
I bought the Mx5 in May, as it was well priced, and knowing it was meant to be a good summer, thought it would be the optimum time to own one. I didn't seeing the hype, and put it up for sale after the NC500 in June. My friend Sofa had a clio 200, but fell in love with the MX5. I said I would keep it for him until it sold, but we ended up doing a deal and I bought my 3rd Renaultsport Clio, and my second 200.
Albi Blue Clio RS with loads of options:
- 1 year's MOT
- 78,800 miles
- Timing belt, waterpump and aux belt changed at 62,792 miles in August 2016 with proof – so not due until 2022 or 120k!
- Last serviced January 2018 at 73,914 miles – not due for another 7.5k
- 2x keys both working
- 4 previous owners
- HPI clear
Spec
- Factory fit Recaro buckets – no rips or tears to fabric
- Cup chassis
- Yellow Dash Pack with yellow seatbelts, headrest accents and dash trim – very rare option
- ‘Full fat’ spec including A/C, keyless go, projector headlamps, cornering lights, electric folding mirrors, electric windows, CD player with aux-in input
- 17” optional black Speedline alloys
Maintenance
- May 2018: 4x new Yokohama tyres fitted with full alignment
- January 2018: Full service including spark plugs and brake fluid carried out
- July 2017: Front coil springs replaced along with OSF shock and swivel hub.
- April 2017: 2x Pagid rear discs fitted with Brembo pads
- Too much more to list, including 2x Brembo High Carbon discs fitted to front axle in 2016
Car is in great condition for age, with none of the gearbox issues that these Clios sometimes have.
Plans for now as follows:
1. Sort the exhaust - dislike the raspiness of the centre box delete, so either a standard exhaust or a Milltek or KTR (like my last one)
2. RS Tuner remap
3. Sprint Booster
4. Retrimmed steering wheel
5. Try and sort the intermittent keyless go button - intermittent.
6. Seat covers for the recaros to prevent wear
Some pics from collection night:
Safe to say I am chuffed with it. Have removed the stickers from it too.
