200 Service Schedule Request

Right, I feel bad for posting this as I've just done a search and there are looads of threads on this topic.. but none I could find had accurate information regarding the service schedule for a 200.

I know we have the 197 service schedule on here (link) but I think it's subtly different for the 200.

Lots of people refer to the 'service manual' and after reading through my Renault handbook they refer to a 'maintenance service manual' too which I don't seem to have :001_unsure:

So if anyone has one of these elusive manuals for a 2010 200 could they please take a quick picture of the table or whatever shows the service schedule? Having spoken to my local Renault garage during my last service it's clear they don't know what they're on about so no point asking them

Say whaaat! :lol: I've looked through the handbook and couldn't see it, though granted I didn't read every page. Hopefully it is there though, I'll have a look again tonight :book: Cheers for the info

As for your Renault dealer, every dealer has access to an online system which holds all service schedules.

if I remember correctly, the 200 is 2years or 18,000 miles and at each service oil, oil filter, cabin filter and air filter are recommended change. Along with this every 4 years brake fluid and coolant should be changed and at 6 years timing belt is due change.

Oh i've just re-read it again. I was thinking of the pages that they stamp to say it's been serviced.

I was given a print out of the service schedule when I bought the car.

Wish I'd seen your post before I spent ages studying the handbooks determined to find it! Ha

It may very well be 12k, I'm off work on the sick at the minute so can't check for you and can't completely recall the schedule but I'm sure it's on the "long life" schedule.

I phoned Renault Uk customer services and they e-mailed me the complete service schedule and warranty details for my car when I gave them the reg number. They were very helpful, which is more than can be said for the dealer....

i had a printed service schedule when i bought car it was serviced at 6k and next due at 18k which is soon ,its coming up 4yr old so it states brake fluid and coolant change

Ktec has a schedule on their website along with prices, it's in the workshop section

Ah good shout Linda, I think I'll ring RUK today instead of a dealer.

Yeah I saw the KTEC service table in a post on here somewhere.. I seem to recal it didn't make much sense once it got to the cambelt info.. :s

My next dilemma is that I don't really want to take my car to any sort of dealer/garage. Not because I don't want to pay.. I just want to do it all myself! I haven't done much car maintenance before so it's pretty interesting and enjoyable for me to do. But I don't really want to break the full service history I currently have (as buyers won't be impressed when I come to sell).. any ideas how I can have the best of both worlds?

Difficult to get the best of both worlds!

If you really insist on doing the servicing yourself then keep all the receipts in a folder with a printed log at the front showing what you've done/when. You should be fine with basic stuff like oil/filter changes.

Anything more complicated (cambelt etc) get a good specialist to do it.

Yeah it's annoying. I would pretty much be happy to do it all myself and then pay the service price just to get a stamp in the book!!

Anyway I rang up RUK this afternoon and spoke to a nice woman called Kimberley who kindly emailed me a copy of the 'maintenance programme' for my car (60 plate 200). I've seen the table somewhere before on the internet when I was searching but it's nice to have official confirmation of the intervals.

I'm also glad that my timing belt isn't due as I'd convinced myself that it would be due very soon - probably due to the fact that (I think) the 197's is due a year earlier.

Early 197s are 5 years, late 197s and 200s are 6 years. Handy picture to have.


Fuel filter is 144k btw. I can imagine your quite a way off that yet though
