197 steering colum play?

I've noticed some small play in the colum read up to try tighten it and grease it up a bit which I have. Still slightly there so want to replace it. My question is, will any clio mk3 steering colum fit straight on? They look the same in the pics but not sure if the 197 is different? Thanks

What do you mean by play in the rack? Just wondering if it could be the steering rack tie rods or ends?

You can feel it in the wheel. Got underneath to have a look at the colum and you can see very slight play. (This is inside the car) looks easy enough to change just not sure which is compatible.
