197 standard exhaust, centre silencer removal

as in title has anyone done this?

my centre silencer baffle has gone completely, sounds totally tinny.

was thinking about chopping it out, any ideas what it would sound like? pop & bang?

I doubt it'll pop and bang much if at all with just the center section missing. Usually happens when you take the cat(s) off

It does pop and bang quite a lot actually.

Fair enough, that's suprising to be honest. Thought it would just be a bit louder.

It's louder, pops and bangs but you do get an increase in the severity of the flat spot. Definitely worth it though :thumbup:
