197 servicing costs

The service indicator appeared on my dash screen last thursday (at 18K? bit early isnt it for a second service??) how much is a 2nd service roughly for the 197?? may be worth shopping around different dealers if the prices vary.

Has to be done at a renault dealers as I want to keep my warrenty. May try to get them to change my front recaro seat due to wear on warrenty whilst im there. Anybody had any luck with this so far??

alrite mate.

Mine is due very very soon and warrington renault have quoted £169 whereas birchdown a renault specialists charge £155.

Cheers Dave, heard good things about birchdown might take it there. This should keep my warrenty shouldn't it? as they do use renault parts etc...
 
You can get it serviced anywhere you like, as long as they use genuine Renault parts, the warranty will not be affected. As for the seat base being replaced, I had mine done a couple of weeks ago as the foam on the base side bolster had collapsed and disintegrated, didnt have any arguments with the dealer over it.
 
I've had warranty work done (both seats replaced, one of them twice) without having my car serviced at a dealer.
 
Think I will give birchdown a ring and get a quote. But I dont need a filter change and will probably supply my own oil.

I have only ever heard good things about birchdown. :smiley:

As stated above Birchdown is cheaper @ £155, and is in cheshire like warrington so might be worth you going there too. They specialise in Rensport apparently and are top notch (thats what everybody I have talked to have said anyway who have dealt with them).

I had a quote of £169 and £129 if i supplied my own oil and that was at warrington.
 
Isn't there two renault dealers in warrington though?? Arnold clark at gemini retail park, and one near westy (think its either on or near Farrell street). I may be wrong but i thought there was two.

May be why there are two different quotes etc...

on the subject of taking your own oil in does it really save money? how much do you need and which one's best?
 
you would have thought that the services would be roughly the same price, regardless of which Renault you go to,
 
same with all manufacturers tbh, with my Nissan prices varied by £130 (from £180 to £310!!) for the same second service!

TBH Renault seem to be better than most I have had experience with.
