197 oil consumption

done an oil service about 1500km back
10w 40 liqi molly fully synthetic

I would say roughly every 600km so far vehicle informs top up oil is this normal? I have checked for leaks and can not find anything. This will be the 2nd 1L top up since Service

You've used 2L in 1500KM (~1000miles), that is very high. I had consumption similar to that once.....had a hole in the top of a piston!

If it's not leaking, then it is being consumed - either bottom end (piston rings) or top end (valve stem seals). I would say at those levels you're probably looking at piston rings, but a leak down test will tell you. At the very minimum you could do a compression test, but that only tells you that you have a problem, not where the problem is.

you can do a "wet" compression test which if higher than the dry test is usually the rings - handy if you dont have anything other then a comp tester

That is high. In approx almost 10k miles I have used almost 2L of oil through top ups and mines now on 115k.

Dont these Clios like 5w-30?

In my opinion 5W-40 is correct oil. What is mileage?
For example, my Clio 197 uses 0.5 litres / 5000kilometer.
My car mileage is 110.000km.
