197 Heat Shield

I fitted a gloss black diffuser today, So i removed my original easy peasy. then went to take the heat shield off which i thought was screw on, turns out its riveted on with some strange "exploding/splitting" rivet.
Anyway, i took them out assuming i could go to any hardware shop and get some....Oh how i was wrong, every store i went to either did not sell rivets, or had never seen that type before.

So i couldnt just jeave my car without a diffuser so ive bolted it on with nuts and washers.

Do you think they will be a good enough solution or shuld i only have it as a tempory measure and try harder to find some more suitable rivets?

Cheers.

The only disadvantage of using nuts and bolts is they can come undone from the vibration. Should be ok if you did them up tight or you could put some high temperature thread lock on.

But, I'm sure you could just use pop rivets which are available in homebase etc.

Schweet, Cheers guys. I thought as much. Ill just keep my eye on em.

My concern was the vibration also. If i cant find any rivets ill bash some thread lock on.

Thanks again
