18x8 TD 1.3's

I'm picking up my 197 next week and have a set of 18inch pro race 1.3's from my auris. They will fit but I'm just wondering if they'd ruin the handling? They didn't make any difference to the auris but that handled like a bus anyway.

It'll probably tram line a bit more and I'm not sure what the clearance within the arches would be like with 18x8 it might be a bit tight.

Though it'll probably not suddenly turn the car into a bus.

Think ill just fit them and then let everyone know what they're like. It's not like it's a gamble with money as I already own them I guess.

18's aren't great for track IMO, they do effect the handling a bit.

But otherwise you'll be fine. I run 18x8 and on road, no issues.

You won't need spacers either.

Yeh looks wise I think it'll look great. Obviously it'll need lowering, what springs/ coilies are you running? Like I said I think I'll put them on and see how it goes

I've just got H&R springs on standard dampers, so it a 30/40 drop. It does sit nice.

Well they don't fit so they will be up for sale soon. I'll be getting H&R's with spacers- although i've heard 50/50 mixed reviews for them

lovely car mate. mine sits up like a monster truck on trolly wheels but the re-map takes priority
