16" wheels on 197

Hi everyone, has anybody ever fitted 16" wheels on 197 ??

I am thinking if i could fit 16" so i can put some slick tyres for drag strip..

Dont think they'll clear the calipers. The R3 rally Clio uses 16s but uses a different caliper to fit.

There's a Russian member on here with 16s fitted over original calipers, very specialist wheels though.

I think the advantage would be negligable.

If you use a motorsport type wheel you may get one to fit.

I have some 15" compomotive MO's for my track day alfa and can get 310mm brakes in them (ap calipers, CP5200) and have room for more, compomotive say i should be able to get 330mm in there.

Team dynamics pro race 1.2's also have space for bigger brakes, makes it a pain in the ass fitting tyres but better for clearance.

Just use Cup Racer slicks :huh:
