For me I think owning a Z4 prior spoiled me. I was hoping the Clio would fill the void but it's just feels "cheap" as opposed to the Zed. Not as engaging to drive and not as quick. It also lacks the creature comforts for me. I'm not hating on it for it is a great track car but that's about it...
Thanks for the advice mate I'll post over there. Car comes with full service history and a fresh MOT and the dealer told me everything has been done as it's a higher mileage car but his word doesn't matter to me hence wanting it checked.
By law it has to come with a 3 month warranty so I f...
It's done 120,000, 2007, I paid for a 118 point check inspection and it needs the handbrake adjusted, brake light, headlight washer and dip beam. I'm not mechanically inclined hence getting the inspection done. Anything else I need to look for?
The 335i I'm looking at getting is £6991 with £3000 offered on part ex for the Clio. I did shop around for E46 however couldn't find a good example near me. I could have another look now.
E46 does look dated to me as opposed to the e92..
Thanks for the replies guys I feel I need some sound advice. ///M I sold my Z4 because it was a shed and a money pit but I absolutely loved it and since then have had a hole in my heart lol.
I purchased the Clio straight after.
So I have owned my Clio since January and already test driven and made a verbal deal on a BMW 335i. No deal has gone down yet but the cars mint and has had a pre purchase inspection. So I'm sat here thinking do I have a problem or just not happy with the Clio? Anybody else get like this?
Hey fellas, looking at purchasing a 335i as a daily driver and have the option to pay £300 on top of the purchase price for a 12 month warranty with RAC. Has anybody had experience with RAC Warranties?
Hey fellas, as you can see the previous owner has poorly wrapped the dash trim. Any suggestions on how to remove the trim? Also you can see it's not fitted properly near the gear stick. Cheers
Thanks for the advice, I have already had the MOT with a trustworthy mechanic of mine. 3 new tires (may as well of got 4) new brakes all around including new brembos. She is due a full service and I will for peace of mind get the belt done too.
Thanks for advice! The Clio is due a service actually so I can get the filter changed then. Also it may be worth me getting the cambelt done myself as I bought it at auction with no history so might be a safe bet. As far as exhaust goes it looks like it already has one! Take a look. Apart from...
Sorry I should be more specific. The previous owner has put a wrap on the dash trim and I need get that off! Any idea on how without me damaging it. Apart from appearance I'd like to improve the power and get rid of the flat spot.
Hey fellas, My Clio has an aftermarket exhaust when I purchased it but otherwise standard. What is the first mod you all recommend? I've seen a few people on here get a remap first. Might take the spare wheel out for some weight reduction..
Thanks mate. I'm living in Cardiff and bought the Clio from Newport. I managed to order a new key at Renault for £128 then when it's delivered in a week it's another £60 to program. The tech guy gave me a code free of charge while I was there. Good service.
In terms of the rest, it's had the...
Hey fellas I have made a new thread on this as it is rather urgent. Long story short I have a 197 with a faulty keycard I assume.
It won't lock the car and won't start it. I have managed a handful of times after playing around with the key in the ignition to get it started but it's at random...
Managed to sell the Zed as I needed the cash so now relying on the Clio that won't start due to the key. Going to make another thread and see what ways are around it.
