Upgrading HU in my 200 cup

Guys, just about to order this head unit http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/bluetooth/head-units/alpine-ute-72bt-media-receiver I currently have just the bog standard single cd head unit, but it does have the controls on the steering column which I'd like to retain. So will I need an adapter to...

    AD08 pressures - Daily + Track?

Thanks for the reply mate. Are the track pressures you quote hot temps? They sound very low if they are?

Standard exhaust - Burble and pop at idle

They do tend to 'chuff' at idle. It's just a lumpy idle, perfectly normal. Although if it's really exaggerated it could be an injector issue.

    Engine panel filter digestion

I wouldn't worry about the missing piece, it won't have fallen off while in the car, the stuff is pretty hard to tear at the best of times.

    Anyone have access to CAD/CNC?

I think he means the radius the tool will leave in the corners when it machines the 'pocket' out (tool dependant) anyway. If it's not imperative in your design to have square corners then I'd spec them with a radius anyway just for strength, especially if you're wanting them made from aluminium...

    AD08 pressures - Daily + Track?

As above really, what pressures are people running for the road? And then on track? A previous car I was running around 36 hot in the dry on track, but with the Clio being much lighter what does it tend to like?

    Knocking noise....help!

Define the 'lower swivel joint' mate? You mean the bottom ball joint on the wishbone? Mine creaks from the front when turning you can hear it at low speeds. Not had chance to have a look yet though.

    suspension options

I can certainly drive my 200 harder and faster around my local twisty lanes than I could in any of my previous RS's. The closer to the edge you are the more excitable the experience. Great handling cars!

    use unleaded or super unleaded

I've ran all my performance cars on Momentum. My last Focus RS Mk2 was Revo stage 4 and 400bhp/400ft/lb. Always ran a scan gauge and monitored AFR's at WOT, it never missed a beat, never leaned out and was never any cause for concern. So Momentum gets my vote ;) BUT if the car wasn't mapped I'd...

Steves Megane conversion build - She's finally running (VIDEO inside)

I see you're only in Chesterfield mate, I'm down between J26/27. Wouldn't mind meeting up and seeing what the conversion entails sometime.

Steves Megane conversion build - She's finally running (VIDEO inside)

Does the meg box drop straight in if you use meg shafts? I'd of thought the slightly taller ratios make a n/a feel pretty sluggish compared to the standard box?

Steves Megane conversion build - She's finally running (VIDEO inside)

Thats impressive mate, I honestly didn't think a box with that many miles on + the extra torque would cope. Just proves they aren't all bad.

Steves Megane conversion build - She's finally running (VIDEO inside)

If the Clio box is kept, which is made of cheese anyway, doesn't the extra power/torque when boosted just lunch it quick time?

ITG Maxogen or KTR Clio 3 RS induction kit

Great! Maybe a before and after to show the difference? I'm a sucker for a good induction growl lol.

Does anyone have any videos of an open cone on a 197/200?

    Exhaust information

Mines mapped and had the center silencer removed. I don't know if it was removed pre or post remap as it was done before I got the car.. But there's is a rather large and noticeable flat spot in the lower revs if trying to accelerate.

    Spacers+Track day

I should add that I fitted spacers to my Mk2 Focus RS and immidietly felt the disadvantage of doing so. Fitting them basically undid all the work of the revoknuckle front hub ford had spent so long developing. I soon removed them.

    Spacers+Track day

Yeah, marketing speil. Load of rubbish. Moving the centreline of the wheel out will increase the scrub angle and cause excess torque steer and under steer. The scrub angle is the angle cast if you draw a line between the top and bottom suspension mounting points, and the centreline of the wheel...
