    diesel "200" ?

Problem with diesels is the gearing, if you had 8 or 9 gears you could easily keep it in peak torque range and have awesome alcn.

    Matched inlets

As for inlets, it seams it depends where you go. Ive always had positive feedback from the ones I do, whilst others claim to see 0-2bhp. We are yet to have solid power figures for advertising, put preliminary tests show circa 8bhp peak with a gain of upto 10bhp midrange. Ive said it many...

    Swapping ECU to bypass immobiliser?

What car was in the link? I can't open it... On clios: Ph1 172 you can fit an emulator to a virginised ecu, this removes immo function. On ph2 172 & 182 & 197/200 it wouldn't work. The ecu is coded to the transponder aerial and body control unit.

    Big Fat Gypsy Wedding

Bit narrow minded? YOUR "normal" most definately constitutes THEIR abnormal. They have a bad reputation from the vast stereotypes. I'd much rather (and have done on many occasion) share a lingering pint with a decent traveler than MANY of the other groups which we SHARE this island...

    diesel "200" ?

Yeah definately. Its all down to gearing to make that torque usable....

    diesel "200" ?

For my application I wouldnt consider running without a plate LSD, but i'd say that for a petrol equivalent also.

    diesel "200" ?

I disagree, I think in the twisties they would excell with bag fulls of torque to throw you from corner to corner. The M9R weighs about the same as an F4R, so weight doesnt play a significant part.

    Megane engine conversion

Theres a difference between doing something that works, and doing something that works AS IT SHOULD (in respect of OEM compliance). CAN is a nightmare to work with let alone around, so any attempts to integrate a user friendly ECU that works as a standard MODERN car should, should be treated...

    diesel "200" ?

Ive got an M9R (laguna/megae 2.0 dci) sat that im contemplating putting in the cup rally car. Also got a hybrid turbo I bought for my Navara which would see 300bhp/550N.m torque without too much of a struggle. Its looking likely I will fit this, though the downside (and the only reason for...

    Megane engine conversion

Ive had various people enquiring....no yet had the balls to go through with it.

box complete with cables and shifter yes.

    Megane gearbox

With conversions like this, the usual route is to fit the donor shifter cables and shifter itself to the new car. It's usually just a case of making a suitable mounting plate which will mount the shifter housing to the shell.

    clio cup racers

You need rear brakes for tight turns ;p Woody, you need a cable operated handbrake for an MOT, as a legal requirment. and typically a fly-off type rear brake lever (hand operated) is hydraulic, so if you cant find hydro with cable handbrake, use two sets of smaller calipers. On mine, ive...

    Intake temp?

I meant more that youd be hard pushed to see elevated intake temps causing det on NA engines, especially at part throttle. Im sure you'll be fine so long as its set-up well!

    Intake temp?

As IAT increases the ECU automatically pulls off ign timing to prevent any damage via detonation. TBH you'd not suffer much if it didnt, not on these engines at least.
