yeah its not quite a torx or hex, but I think grips are the best option. Gunna get my mate over as another pair of hands and should hopefully be able to do it.
Might sound like a noob, but need advice on removing the rear dampers..
So my rear dampers are on the way out and have some CUP replacements. I gave it a go at the weekend but the 16mm nuts wont budge off the top mounts. I am aware you need to keep the damper still, any ideas?

So just now on my drive home from work, I noticed on the motorway my clutch felt a bit higher than usual, like there was more travel in pressing it to change gear.
Can still get it in gear fine and works almost as normal when I am moving

Just had to share the bargain I got today - replaced the wiper mech in my 197 before but the spindles for the wipers have always been sh*t on this one. So went up the local breakers yard and spent 10 mins removing a wiper mechanism off a mk3. cost me a whole £5!

Sorted it now, i pulled the lever up and it unlocked, push down and it locked. then tested again on the flap when my car is locked/ unlocked and fixed itself. I have put a bit of grease on it as it seems to have sorted itself out. Will swap it out if i need to, but thanks guys!
So, as I found out in Sainsburys forecourt yesterday, my petrol filler flap is jammed shut and I believe it is just a new solenoid I need (which I have ordered).
But I need to remove the peice of plastic above the boot lining where the rear seatbelt terminates into but cant remove it to get to...
