    Road manners with lowered/uprated springs

I found standard 200 cup suspension horrendous, in fact I changed to H&R springs and have found them much better and not half as bad as some have said. I've had Bilstein b14 coilovers on my last 197 and found them really nice on most roads, bit soft for track though.

Air intake and exhaust system changed, need mapping?

Doesn't 'need' to be mapped if you can live with it, but mapping will help and you'll certainly gain performance, especially in the mid-range. Mapping is only as safe as the person doing the mapping. RS Tuning and EFI are the two most often used on here.

Just got a new 2 me 200 - need to change track rods & ends

I've just done the outer track rod ends on mine for £13 per side using Febi Bilstein parts from ebay. Even the inner tie rods are £15-20 per side. Just search for part numbers and cross-reference the parts on ebay.

    Engine Overheating... briefly?

@geraintthomas the resistor is on the bottom right of the radiator (standing in front of the car looking at it). Take the undertray off and slide under and you'll see it. Unplug, unbolt, and fit new one. It's self-explanatory when you see it.

    Engine Overheating... briefly?

My fan wasn't turning on at all, even with the aircon switched on. I changed the fan resistor and now it works fine. Very easy job, less than 10 minutes to change. https://ebay.us/m/OXQjZr

    New owner Albi Blue 197

As above, blue springs are more than likely H&R springs, standards are black.

Shock absorbers - What to buy?

It isn't. I've had both, and far preferred the standard 197 suspension as I found it far more compliant and predictable on 'normal' roads whereas 200 cup suspension is far too stiff and bouncy. On my 197 I upgraded to b14s which were great but too soft for on track, and ive now fitted h&r...

    Clio 197 front spring dimensions

You don't need dimensions, all you need to know is if your car is a cup version or non-cup. Always change springs in pairs too. Try Ebay or someone who has upgraded and is selling standard springs if you don't want to fork out for brand new

    Fitting a turbo engine - Clio 197

It'll be as reliable as the map. If the map is shite then it doesn't matter how 'built' the engine is. You have a turbo manifold included in the sale, so what you need are standard megane intercooler pipes along with eBay universal pipes to make up any difference.
