Sean do you have any drawings or pictures of the vacuum line layout? I've searched the Renault workshop manual, and all of the forums but cant find anything. Ive seen that you installed a vacuum manifold, which I might end up doing, but I'm after getting the engine in and running by the weekend.

Ive got a Temu camera, ive gone in through the spark plug hole, I cant see any valve contact or burn holes etc. My mate ground the valves and let petrol sit in them overnight as a leak test. The engine hasn't run since it was assembled. Im away at the mo, but once I'm home I'll get the engine...

I've got to get the engine out ....again anyway to fit an R26 box and custom loom, so tools and access isn't an issue. It was just the best way to diagnose weather it's the bottom or top of the engine. Ill try the things that have been mentioned so hopefully that will tell me if its a sticky...
