The exhaust manifold could be weldable if its just a small crack. Mine had a tiny crack (about 3cm long) and it was welded up no problem, did some strengthening on all the other welds too.
Cleaned mine out today. Literally a 15 min job. The passengers side was ok, still gave it a blast down with the pressure washer. However there was a huge puddle on the drivers side. I gave that a blast and now all draining well. Hopefully I didn't leave it too late. Not had any electric problems...
Same problem here. Had it resprayed under warrantly last year. Has started bubbling again so I spoke to the bodyshop that did it and its going back next week.

If its just a crack. My mechanic is s*** hot at welding so ill get him to seal it up. Hopefully its just the gasket thats knackered tho.
If not what are my options regarding an upgrade? Toyosport? Got a qoute for reference from Renault for £680 inc VAT for a new one.
As title states. There is a ticking sound coming from the back of the engine low down. Could this be a crack or hole in manifold? When you put head under the car it can be heard just as loud, would this issue tick like this? Just done some reading and could be exhaust gasket?
Any help would be...
