    Blown shock after <5k miles?!?!

you get faulty parts from anything, that's what a warranty is for, return it to Renault parts direct or take it into a Renault dealership for a free labour and parts warranty (providing they don't find anything incorrect with your fitting obviously) Peugeot used to offer this service with...

    Engine fault.

check emissions is a generic warning for an engine management fault, not nesc lambda, and if it were lambda related it would show up in diagnostics and not throw camshaft position sensor faults, glad you got your timing correct, but doesn't really help with the fault though

    Binding brakes

it may be that now its colder the vehicle brakes stick with dew and corrosion occurs around the pad and on the disc over night which would cause the exact symptoms you mention I've also had it where the ends of the handbrake cable are corroded under the outer sheath of the inner cable, it...

ABS/ESP & Spanner Warning Lights On After Toyosport Manifold Change

Probably related, they may have had the vehicle running on ramps which obviously drives the front wheels through drag on the drivetrain, this may upset the abs... but normally rights itself once driven again... You can’t adjust the manifold as it’s solid to above the subframe, however most cure...

    Engine Knocking/Tapping Noise

You wouldn’t until it seized and goes bang (extreme case... if it is what we both think... and it is an if... ), but if it is that it potentially wears the cam out so keeping driving it is risking more than just a replacement follower...

    Caliper cleaning

Angle grinder with a wire wheel is by far the quickest, and a wire brush in a drill for corners etc

    Engine Knocking/Tapping Noise

Especially for you... the red arrows point at four followers in a Clio head, the cam pulleys are just to the left of the pic right where your noise is

    Engine Knocking/Tapping Noise

So how do you not think it’s that then :( a follower is at the top of the engine and sits against the cam, it uses oil pressure to stay in touch with the cam and cushion the impact from the top of the valve with the cam itself, if it runs dry and has no oil pressure it sounds just like yours...

    Engine Knocking/Tapping Noise

Well without wishing to sound rude it could also be the variator pulley (exactly where you say), and where you say is also about three inches from a follower/lifter as we have both said from your video... so not unfeasible to be exactly what we say :)

    Engine Knocking/Tapping Noise

It’s hard to tell from a video, but the last vid sounds like a follower or little end has gone... I’d try whipping the alternator belt off after listening to the first video... it’s so hard to tell with a phone mic :(

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

Not really, he’s having a discussion and giving his reasoning... but if you choose to read it like that who is he to argue (or even discuss it with you) :)

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

Depends on the driver and confidence as two very different cars, for example my old gti-6 estate was on a beginners track day and I went round an Elise 111 and my Clio is faster than the pug, but if the driver was new to the Elise he may have been faster From my perspective the 200 is the best...

    Dumdums RS200 cup

My logic is as follows... Mainly because of all the parts you listed, either solder onto the clock spring as pathway is there apparantly but not wired... or swap the whole clock spring/comm unit for a ff one with the clock spring wires, then buy switches and a different airbag... or just do this...

    Dumdums RS200 cup

I’m an auto electrician by day so to me that’s like wiring a plug up to most people :) if I can make a car run with no keys, make lights flash, sirens go, central locking lock... four buttons and five resistors (had no 200ohm but loads of 100ohm efforts) and a bit of wire definitely isn’t a...
