    shakey's 400hp Cup

Car is finally going in for meg box shortly and tougher clutch and billet flywheel.. On another note, found the car is so quick through the low gears if you hook it up that the rev counter lags behind actual engine speed -hah -Andy

    RR results - thoughts?

181bhp at fly on dyno dynamics rollers is quite reasonable... mine made 186 standard on dyno dynamics with fresh oil, new filter and plugs. I think if you changed these items you'd be on the money.. As said before gear ratio of dyno run doesn't matter on DD rollers (or many others) as software...

197: RS Tuning and my clio RS197 full service and belts change cost :/

Seems reasonable price, the nanodrive oil is very expensive, personally unless the other jobs are needed just get the belts done, do the oil yourself its an easy job plugs are a 5 min job..

    Makeing an induction kit

If you can keep the diameter the same as the throttle body once you've necked it down from the filter, keep number of bends to a minimum and put the filter intake position in the coldest place available, a couple of feet of induction length filter to TB will help give a good spread of torque. -Andy

    cost of megane conversion

There's a few reasons that are driving me to changing: -The Clio box suits the road, nice and snappy through the gears, but on a track and especially with a pit of power 145mph on the limiter with a meg engine its just not quick enough. -The bell housing isn't deep enough for the meg clutch so...

    cost of megane conversion

I'm changing to the Meg box as the TL4 box has not got enough space to run a further uprated clutch. I'm happy with power and torque as the car is still very driveable :) -Paul from RS Tuning did a top job with the mapping -Andy

    What parts? Meg gearbox upgrade

I need to upgrade the clutch as it struggles with the torque, to fit the meg flywheel and clutch, I'll need to change to the meg gearbox.. Anyone know what I need? Thinking its gearbox, driveshafts and cables from shifter -do i need shifter as well? Cheers in advance Andy

    shakey's 400hp Cup

The 1.2 8v I built was originally designed for running 32psi boost and 250bhp, but the guy I sold it too only runs low boost.. I never did a build thread, but should have some photos about somewhere.

    shakey's 400hp Cup

Just to give an update. Now run about 500miles since mapping: Cold starting seems good, hot starting is okay but need a few more turns to start -think this is just due to the injector size. Car pulls very well in all gears, although is more laggy than previous setup, so pays to drop a gear...
