Detailing at the next level. Merc C180. Magic Detail.

Thanks for the comments. My client was over the moon, he did not think it was possible to restore it to such condition, I exceeded his expectations!! :)

Detailing at the next level. Merc C180. Magic Detail.

And finally, after re-washing the car down to remove all the polishing dust I was able to apply the finishing touches. In this instance, 2 layers of Zaino Z2 sealant and after 2hrs a final wipe down with Zaino Z8. Between coats I worked on the interior and dressed all the trim, including the...

Detailing at the next level. Merc C180. Magic Detail.

Hi guys, This is my first 'detailing thread'. I didn't know whether to put it in here, or my own section as your newest forum trader! I hope you don't mind me sticking it in here... Right, I'll start from the top then. The owner of this car first contacted me with a view of tidying up the...

Pressure washer and snow foam advice

I use a Karcher, but tbh, they are much of a muchness when spending over £200 on one. I don't use the supplied foam/shampoo kit though, prefer to stick with the traditional bayonet style lances like you've mentioned. Take a look at www.shinearama.co.uk and use discount code a2d8 which will bring...

Detailers Teach Me The Right Way !!!!

No I got that part mate, I was showing that a) wet sanding isn't required to achieve a perfectly acceptable finish, and b) products last quite a while when cared for properley. The X3 images were taken after a routine maintenance wash, the car had received a full treatment from me 6 months...

Detailers Teach Me The Right Way !!!!

I disagree to a certain extent. Wet sanding is fantastic, and really is the pinnacle of automotive care - but lets be realistic, it costs a fortune (I know I charge a fortune for it!!), and how many people want to take their car to that level? The market for it is tiny, infact, the market for...

    novice wet sanding....

I have a detail coming up on a forum members car at some point over the next couple of months - it requires a part wet sand on the rear upper quarter panel for the same sort of reasons. Looks like it has had a repair of some description, but it is quite possibly original paint (not measured it...

    claybar & lube

I recommend and use Stjarnagloss Mild. No dedicated lube required, save your monies, and use it with water. Awesome, and if used correctly, perfectly safe and wont cause any damage!

    Swissvax onyx

Onyx will look terrific. Considering it's Swissvax's entry level wax at only £60 it's awesome. Easy to apply and buff off. Only drawback is it's durability, which is quite poor at 4-6 weeks on average per application, but it more than makes up for that with it's colour richness capabilities...

    Hello!! From sunny Manchester

Hey guys, Been asked to join up by my good friend Willis. Don't actually own a Clio, though nearly owned a Megane R26 if they're any good? :tongue_smilie: Now smoking around in an Abarth 500, currently on sabbatical from the 'Red H' having owned a few over the years. Bit s**t I know, but the...
