Yep, weight is a big factor, it's certainly quicker than the clio in a straight line and corners. Due to it being a 180, it has a larger turbo, this means that it doesn't sit on boost much when doing 70, it's about 3psi at 70mph. So you end up really using the 1.4 economy then. I literally never even noticed any sort of vibrations when driving my clio, only when stationary which was also minimal. Perhaps it is more noticeable for people with more worn mounts. By replacing just the top and having worn oem mounts in the rest, it could be putting more reliance on the top...

I think they've addressed the stiffness with a mechanical valve that causes the dampers to soften when going over bumpy roads, but stiffens when performing fast road / racing. I'm certainly not experiencing that at all, the car feels mega stable; abeit a little mental on the brakes, the rear...
