    Violent front end shaking

Has the gearbox been out of the car previously?

    Guide to remove front wishbones?

Someone will tell you soon I am sure. I seem to think you need to drop the subframe to get them off, but I haven't looked at it recently.

    Clio 197 Track Build

Remember that was just a refresh of a gearbox not fitted to a car. The changeover will take a bit of time and cost a bit if not doing it yourself. Also need to facto in the cost of a.new clutch and slave. Still a decent price for the work.done.

    Air Con not working

Lots of reasons. The condenser is susceptible to being holed by stones.

Gearbox Refurb Milton Keynes & Midlands

Stubonez To be honest I am probably going to go with Jade Developments as then I know what I am getting. I would have to offer a fairly low amount to make it worthwhile for me and I think it would be too cheeky. I see on ebay they go for £400+

Gearbox Refurb Milton Keynes & Midlands

So I am fairly sure the gearbox in my 200 is dying as it is reluctant / almost impossible to select third and fourth gears at higher revs. I have recently had the clutch bled and changed the box oil and it made no difference. I am looking for recommendations of where to go for a gearbox...

    Best pads ever

When ordering XP10 pads for the front on my Clio 200 cup and a couple of megane R26s they advised against getting the same compound for the rear. I don't find their advise odd at all as they have been honest in giving their opinion rather than trying to make a quicker profit. They are in it for...

The rears will lock up too easily. Carbotech advised against running xp10 on the rear.

    Best pads ever

I think when you go to a high friction coefficient brake pad then you really don't want them matching front and rear.

    Exhaust for track use

I was mindful of your experience Rich and hence why I stated I still had the standard manifold with cat.

    Exhaust for track use

Akra and standard manifold is fine for all the tracks I've been too. This a includes Bedford which has one of the strictest drive by limits.

    Best pads ever

You probably haven't warped the discs. It is most likely material transfer from the pad to the disc surface causing the strange vibrations and odd feel.

Ferodo state an average friction coefficient of 0.46 for the ds performance pad. Their website says they have been designed for road use.

My experience of using DS1.11 on the road is that they are perfectly fine for everyday use. When you look at the performance figures it shows they work better than ds2500... http://www.ferodoracing.com/products/car-racing/racing-brake-pads/ds2500/

    Best pads ever

Besides the RC5 none of the pads mentioned are much good for track use. Take a look at DS1.11, RC6 etc. I have also heard good things about Carbotech XP10 pads although I don't know if they do them for our brembos.

    Still a good price, congratulations.
